Project Description

Trent Basin is a new residential neighbourhood located on the north bank of the River Trent, on the edge of Nottingham city centre. The development comprises 35 contemporary, low-energy houses and 10 apartments, designed with a focus on sustainability and modern living. Positioned to take full advantage of its riverside setting, many of the homes feature large windows and terraces that offer expansive views of the river and surrounding landscape.

A distinctive feature of the scheme is the use of different coloured brickwork to define individual blocks of houses while also contributing to a highly insulated, fabric-first approach to construction. The development is complemented by a carefully considered combination of soft and hard landscaping, designed to mature over time and create a green, welcoming street that leads directly to the riverfront.
