Partner | Architect
Simon Sweet-Smith
Simon is a Graduate of Huddersfield University before spending his first few years in practice working for Whitam Cox architects, where he worked on over £500m worth of retail/commercial architecture across the country. He has gathered a wide range of experience through his work with the retail clients, private developers and private clients.
Developing the sustainable expertise within the office, he has worked on a variety of low energy projects including a Trent Basin in, Nottingham; 66 houses sustainable houses by the River Trent, Nottingham; various sustainable house extensions.
Simon started working at marsh:grochowski in 2015 and became a partner in 2019. He oversees every job from the start with regular contact and visits to site once the project is under construction and is strongly involved with every PAS 2035 job in the office. Currently, marsh:grochowski have carried multiple schemes at various complexities with multiple contractors.

Architect
Nastasia Artelari
After graduating from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens, Nastasia has worked in well-known architectural practices in the UK, Greece and Switzerland. With over twenty-one years of professional experience - eleven of those based in the UK- her portfolio includes cultural, educational, commercial and residential projects, spanning all stages of design and development. Contemporary design and sustainability have always been central to her work and design ethos.
Since joining marsh:grochowski in early 2014, Nastasia has played a key role in a variety of projects, including Performing Arts Centre for NGHS, Offices and Apartments at Stoney Street and 79 MMW Church Centre Extensions. Nastasia also contributes to teaching activities in Architecture Design Studio A at the Loughborough University.

Architect
Philip Win
Philip has over a decade of practical experience during which time, he has worked on a diverse mix of projects within various sectors. This diverse portfolio includes complex infrastructure projects such as the ‘Paddington
Crossrail Station’ and the ‘New Covent Garden redevelopment,’ as well as a variety of small to medium sized projects such as the ‘Gateway Hotel Extension, Nottingham’ and the ‘YMCA Sports Village, Newark.’
Philip started working at marsh:grochowski Architects in 2023, overseeing high profile projects such as the Broadmarsh Concept Design, Bennerley Viaduct Visitor Centre & St. Nic’s Community Centre. He is strongly involved with every PAS 2035 job in the office and, is a Certified Retrofit Designer and Certified Passivhaus Designer.

Conservation Architect
Jamie Mayers
Jamie has spent the last 6 years working on projects to conserve and repair historic buildings and structures, in
a variety of historical contexts. He has worked on Grade II*, Grade II, Grade I Listed Buildings, unlisted heritage
assets and Scheduled Ancient Monuments on projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England among others. He also serves as a professional advisor to Southwell & Nottinghamshire Diocesan Advisory Council.
He is interested in high quality, well considered design in historic contexts and the opportunities of using traditional materials and construction techniques in contemporary construction. Previous experience includes a variety of one-off residential work, housing association work, community buildings, education and research/laboratory buildings.

Part I Architectural Assistant
Yian Kyriakou
Yian joined the team in 2022 and has gained extensive experience across both residential and public-sector architecture, including the Broad Marsh Concept Design and the Bennerley Viaduct Visitor Centre. He manages the team on all PAS 2035 retrofit projects, delivering fabric-first and low-measure solutions to over 1,000 homes across the UK on projects such as the Social Housing Fund (SHF) programme with Morgan Sindall Property Services.
He is currently working with Morgan Sindall Property Services, RE:GEN Group, and Lovell. Yian is pursuing postgraduate qualifications equivalent to ARB/RIBA Parts 2 and 3 through Nottingham Trent University’s Architect Level 7 Degree Apprenticeship (MArch; PGDip), while continuing to develop his professional skills in practice.

Part II Architectural Assistant
Zana Kentish Brade
Zana joined the practice in 2024 as a Part II Architectural Assistant and is currently working towards her Part III qualification. She has contributed to a broad range of residential and public projects, including the Bennerley Viaduct Visitor Centre and Café, and has previous experience delivering residential work across the Caribbean. Within the practice, she works along with the team leading the PAS 2035 retrofit projects, supporting the improvement of existing homes through sustainable and people-centred approaches. She also manages the practice’s social media channels, helping to communicate the studio’s work and values.
Her design interests focus on biophilic design, wellbeing, and the creation of spaces that foster meaningful connections between people and the natural environment. Alongside her role in practice, Zana is a design tutor at Nottingham Trent University, where she supports emerging designers and encourages environmentally responsive design thinking.
