Project Description
Ruddington Lane Phase 2 is located immediately south of Phase 1 in Wilford, to the east of Ruddington Lane. The site is positioned between a row of semi-detached houses and the tram line. This residential infill development delivers nine new homes that build on the architectural character established in Phase 1, maintaining consistency in scale, appearance, and materials.
The homes are arranged along a newly landscaped access road, with each property featuring an enclosed front garden, a landscaped parking area, and a generous private rear garden with patio and lawn. A mix of four distinct house types has been introduced to add variety and visual interest, enhancing the overall streetscape.
Each home follows a consistent design approach, incorporating small entrance courtyards, welcoming front doors with canopies, large glazed windows, varied rooflines with dormers, and timber detailing. While unified by a common material palette, variation in form and detailing gives each home its own character, resulting in a development that is both cohesive and visually engaging. The overall design is sympathetic to and complements the neighbouring Phase 1 homes.
Sustainability has been integrated throughout the scheme, including the use of photovoltaic panels, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), electric vehicle charging points, and a fabric-first approach to energy efficiency.
