Simon Sweet-Smith and Philip Win recently attended the FUTUREPROOF Nottingham 2026 event on behalf of Marsh:Grochowski Architects and came away feeling inspired by the conversations around sustainability and the future of the built environment.
Thank you to Nottingham Partners for the invitation and for delivering such an engaging event. It was great to see so many organisations coming together to explore how Nottingham can move towards being a greener, healthier, and more resilient city.
The day sparked valuable discussions around climate resilience, circular economy thinking, and future-proofing our cities, with insightful presentations from organisations including Nottingham City Council, Nottingham Trent University, maber, University of Nottingham, Willmott Dixon, Experian and Arup.
It was also a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces and make new connections, including Nick Ebbs, Glenn Slater, and Marketing Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, alongside many others working across design, construction, and sustainability.
A positive and insightful event, and one we hope will continue to grow as a regular fixture in Nottingham’s business calendar.
