Community Art Competition Brings the Bennerley Viaduct Project to Life

The construction of the Bennerley Viaduct Café and Visitor Centre in Ilkeston is well underway. 

As part of our efforts to engage with the local community and involve the next generation in the design of the Bennerley Viaduct Café and Visitor Centre, we recently held an Art Competition in collaboration with Friends of Bennerley Viaduct.

The competition gave students from the community the opportunity to showcase their creativity by producing artwork that celebrates the iconic viaduct. We're thrilled to announce that the winning entries came from Ladywood Primary School! 

These talented young artists will have their work proudly displayed in the Display Area of the completed Café and Visitor Centre. They were excited to see how their contributions will be part of this special project that connects history, art, nature, and the local community.
