After viaduct reopened last year, Marsh:Grochowski have submitted and had planning approval to construct an pedestrian and cycling link on the eastern side of the Grade II* listed monument as well as a visitor centre and car park.
The visitor centre design has taken inspiration from connected train carriages, accentuated by a glass connection.
We chose corten steel, reflecting the viaduct's use of metal, as a link to its heritage. The visitor centre will offer an education space for local schools, an exhibition space, a café and toilets.
