The project saw the renovation of the Grade II Listed theatre in the Pavilion Gardens adjacent to the Buxton Opera House. The Pavilion Arts Centre was altered so that it can not only continue to function as a 350 seat auditorium, but also operate as a 110 seat studio theatre. This complex intervention connects the theatre back to various levels of the Pavilion Gardens and makes all the space fully accessible, restoring the building to something akin to its former glory days in the process.
