When completed this project won an RIBA Award and was the only UK house outside of London to be featured in '100 of the World's Best Houses'. It is located in a conservation area and is sited on a south facing hill to the north of Nottingham. The design is considered very carefully in terms of its context, being arranged to relate to key views and some exquisite existing landscape features, as well as taking account of orientation.
