Project Description
Upon completion, this project was awarded an RIBA Award and gained international recognition as the only UK house outside of London to be featured in 100 of the World's Best Houses. Located in a conservation area on a south-facing hillside to the north of Nottingham, the design responds sensitively to its setting.
The layout is carefully arranged to align with key views and to integrate seamlessly with the site's existing landscape features, creating a strong connection between the building and its natural surroundings. Orientation was a key consideration, ensuring the home benefits from natural light and solar gain while maintaining privacy and harmony with its context. The result is a highly considered and celebrated piece of residential architecture.
