House on Rutland Water

Project Description

This project involved the transformation of a 1970s bungalow into a contemporary and light-filled home. Despite its prominent location overlooking Rutland Water, the original property had no views of the lake and was oriented to face north. Through a modest yet thoughtful intervention, the design reoriented the home to restore its connection to the water and introduced natural light into the heart of the building. The result is a carefully reimagined home that maximises its stunning setting while greatly improving the internal living environment.
