Project Description

Stoney Street is a mixed-use development involving the conversion and change of use of existing buildings to create a combination of office spaces and residential apartments. The project also includes the construction of a new four-storey extension at the prominent corner of Stoney Street and Woolpack Lane, along with the addition of a rooftop terrace and small roof extensions.

The newly built curved extension wraps around the previously unattractive corner elevation, which included various add-on elements and a sub-station, significantly enhancing the building’s appearance within the Conservation Area. Designed to act as a visual and functional focal point, this extension is intended to house a new business club or hub. The transition between old and new is handled with sensitivity by introducing a contrasting material—white glazed bricks—used in a variety of patterns and sizes, offering a contemporary and textured façade that sets the new addition apart while complementing the historic context.
