Birchover Community Centre
This new community centre, located in an underprivileged area of Nottingham, has been designed to offer a welcoming, resilient, and environmentally conscious space for local residents. The building uses a thermally massive structure combined with a ‘hot roof’ system to drive passive stack ventilation, helping to maintain a stable and comfortable internal temperature during warmer conditions.
Sustainability is integral to the design, with features such as rainwater recycling and simple, low-impact landscaping that enhances the site without overdevelopment. The result is a durable, efficient, and community-focused facility that supports both social and environmental wellbeing.
Client: Nottingham City Council
