Office on the Ropewalk

Project Description

14 Oxford Street is located on The Ropewalk, at the edge of The Park conservation area. This project adds two compact additional storeys to an existing triangular brick building, carefully responding to both the site's constraints and its architectural context.

All new elements were prefabricated off-site to address the tight site conditions and to reduce construction time and waste. The additions are highly insulated and feature a perforated metal solar screen, designed to let in natural daylight while helping to prevent overheating in the compact interior spaces.
