This scheme is the second phase of the Green Street project elsewhere on this website. It follows the same design principles, but has its own identity. This phase of the project consists of 8 no. ‘custom build’ houses, 7 no. three/four bedroom family houses and 6 no. two bedroom properties arranged around a shared space street. All the properties are designed to AECB silver standard, which is a passive house based method of construction providing very well insulated and airtight houses well in excess of current Building Regulations standards. All houses have a durable, brickwork ground floor with well insulated render upper floors and the roofs are monopitch. The houses are positioned on the site so that they all get sunlight for a large part of the day, both in the house and garden. Large windows allow for views and plenty of natural light.

The ‘custom build’ houses have been designed for specific clients based upon a standard house design which has been ‘customised’ to their requirements, such as different internal planning, windows altered/added, lean to’s provided for additional space and roof terraces  incorporated.
